What is the Lakeview Low-Line?

Who is behind the Lakeview Low-Line?

The Lakeview Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce, Special Service Area (SSA) 27, and Friends of Lakeview, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, are partnering on different aspects of the project, 在芝加哥市和芝加哥交通管理局(CTA)的支持下. 该商会在2011年的湖景地区总体规划(LAMP)中首次设想了湖景低线。, which gathered input from local residents, businesses and other stakeholders. The Chamber is the sole service provider for SSA 27.

Why would anyone want to walk underneath the ‘L’ tracks? It’s really noisy and dirty.
